Wesleyan ranked #7 ... so much for "train wreck"

“The TrendTopper MediaBuzz Rankings measure an institution’s perceived value using the same methodologies used to compare any other products of value, such as BMW vs. Mercedes,” said Paul JJ Payack, the president of Global Language Monitor. “GLM’s TrendTopper MediaBuzz Rankings removes all bias inherent in each of the other published rankings, since they actually reflect what is being said and stated on the billions of web pages that we measure.”

Wesleyan University ranked #7, right behind Pomona at #6, and ahead of Amherst and Wellesley, #12 and 13.

Wesleyan also came in at #11 on the Washington Monthly poll which measures (or, attempts to) such criteria as social mobility, research and service: [Liberal Arts College Rankings 2011 | Washington Monthly](http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/college_guide/rankings_2011/liberal_arts_rank.php)
It has ranked as high as #2 in past polls.

And, let’s not forget the Daily Beast poll which recently appeared on the Newsweek online site, giving top honors to Wesleyan as “the horniest college in America”. The title admittedly is a bit off-putting, but if one examines the criteria a little more closely, it’s basically saying the students are attractive.

If you think that isn’t important someone should sample the grapes in Maine; they taste a little sour:

Also, in the last set of MediaBuzz rankings, Wes was ranked #4 among liberal arts colleges.
