<p>I was checking out the Wesleyan website a few days ago and reading up on their curriculum, which appears to be fairly open/lenient. Would you say that their outlook on majors, requirements, etc. is similar to that of Brown’s? If not, then how would you say they are different?</p>
<p>It’s very similar. Wesleyan is smaller and there is probably less danger of avoiding wide swatches of the curriculum entirely (I said, in another thread that there were four broad categories; actually, there are only three: Science/Math, Social Science and Humanities/Art). Satisfying a loosely enforced distribution “suggestion” is relatively easy.</p>
<p>Both schools grouse about the USNews (although, Wesleyan less so, IMHO) :
