Wesleyan vs Middlebury

@wesleyan97 , well done. I do enjoy your humor … and vocabulary.

Also agree that there’s a lot of good stuff going on at Wesleyan. It may be poised to make a run back to its place among the top LACs in the country. They’re not catching Williams or Pomona o\in the endowment race any time soon, but they are catching others, and all the while fixing what was becoming a problem.

The next challenge will be, I’m sure, replacing Roth with another home run President. Can’t imagine he has more than another five years left.

Ditto that.

Enjoying your comprehensive flow as well, 'Dad.

DKE refused to sell to Middlebury, but the refusal wasn’t what I’d define as out of spite. At the time, I found the clash between the Deke’s and Middlebury amusing. The DKE house stayed empty for some time, except when DKE alumni used the house for parties during Homecoming. http://www.nytimes.com/1991/03/03/nyregion/campus-life-middlebury-fraternity-chapter-prepares-to-fight-its-termination.html

@CrewDad , interesting. I don’t know the ownership situation of the Wesleyan fraternities, but I think they are all privately owned … I don’t think the school owns any of them. I could well be wrong about that. It seems inevitable they’ll sell to Wesleyan.

No doubt. The Dekes eventually lost the war.
