<p>No, APs don’t decide majors. But if I wanted to major in say, dance, I wouldn’t waste my time taking all Math/Science APs since they wouldn’t help me in what I want to do.</p>
<p>While AP courses do give you credit, not all colleges accept it. I want to take AP courses to challenge myself.</p>
