I think UIUC is for CS is going to be out of reach with your stats. What is your home state?

Im in NJ

Can you afford OOS tuition if you get into UMaryland? Do you have an affordable safety?

Yes I can afford OOS tuition, I wouldn’t need that much aid. For the rest of the schools I am also able to afford tuition

You probably wouldn’t get any aid at UMaryland, so “I wouldn’t need that much aid”’ could still be unaffordable.

Have you run the Net Price Calculators on these schools with your parents? To figure out your own chances, Google the Common Data Set for each college. If your scores are above the midpoint of the 25-75% range for test scores and GPA, it is probably a match.

Also my essays and any supplementals are well written around a 9/10

Ha. Not to be insulting (really… and I like your user name), you have no way to compare your supplements to others. Almost all are NOT well written. You do the best you can on them, but so many students think theirs are great when they are really pretty average.

A 1980 SAT and a 3.57 WGPA will make Northeastern a reach

I think Northeastern is a match. Boston U is a low reach. I’m not familiar with the other two schools to give an accurate response–sorry:(

chance me maybe?

Thanks guys I really appreciate your opinions on my schools

Bump?

NE may be a bit of a reach GPA-wise, but looks like you got a good shot in terms of the other schools on your list. Good luck!

Thanks  any feedback on my Ed school BU would be much appreciated. (I am applying to College Arts and Sciences as a CS major)

I actually live near Notheastern and BU so I know that your stats are pretty good but your GPA could be higher?! Is there any way you could bring up to atleast a 3.7-3.8 cause your GPA is the only thing that might make it a stretch… Just make sure you do good this first semester and have a stellar essay and recommendations

My junior year gpa was a 3.7 while my freshmen and sophomore years were around a 3.5 which is where I did the worst. I hope my course rigor makes up for that In a way? I can say that my reccomendations were both written by teachers that really liked me and I ran my essay through a few Upenn students who gave me good feedback. I am hoping that the fact that I’m a ED student helps in a way too. Thanks for your feed back

I dont know enough info about Illinois to say anything, but the other schools seem like matches. I think you have a good shot at BU ed.
