<p>I got into Rice from Texas with an SAT score of 1960 (then again, my ACT was a 32) and I’m not a valedictorian either (22/637). I never really focused all that much on standardized tests (took them all only once because they annoy me :P). Really, instead of focusing so much on standardized tests I would just concentrate on your essays and extracurriculars, because those are what really decide whether you get in or not.</p>
