<p>I got less than a 2000 on my SAT score and got in, so yes, it’s possible to get in with a low SAT score. There is no “safe score”, in my opinion. You should just study and do your best on your SATs, but don’t kill yourself for a perfect score. I have seen people with close to perfect scores, but didn’t receive admission to Rice. That being said, I personally believe the essays are the most important element to your application.</p>
