<p>I know someone from UH who transferred to Rice after her freshman year. The person had a 2000 sat score, and a 4.0 at UH, and managed to get in just fine. I don’t know her high school stats. She worked really hard on her essays, spent like 5 months on them. The main question is WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO TO RICE? (if you are able to convince the adcoms that you have a legit reason for wanting to attend Rice, it will GREATLY help your chances of admission)</p>
