<p>^^^That and the “What will you add to the diversity of Rice” essay. I applied to Rice as a freshman but wasn’t accepted. I’m hoping to transfer from UH, too. I’m taking all Honors classes, so I’m kind of worried about keeping a 4.0, but then again I’m used to a pretty heavy workload from high school. You might want to look at this thread, too. </p>

<p>The main reasons I want to transfer are the diversity for the small size, residential colleges, and they have a better program for people going into space-related fields. Should I talk about that in the essay, or do you think that seems too generic? (I’m going to be participating with the Rice Muslim Student Association as well as the UH Muslim Student Association, so hopefully being at Rice once a week will give me more insight and help me write better essays “from the heart”.)</p>
