what are some good 1 or 2 credit courses at NYU

I’ve been taking Steinhardt music lessons for the last few years, 2 or 4 credits a semester as my schedule allows. It can be a lot of fun and a good way of boosting your GPA. I participated in orchestra my first year here, and I’ve been studying the guitar. (Mike Macallister and Gabe Cummins are great teachers!) After a quick glance through Albert, it seems like 1, 2, or 4 credit courses in the following are open to non-Steinhardt students:

composition
music theory
keyboard harmony improvisation
voice (private or group)
wind instruments
string instruments (private or group)
orchestra
chamber ensembles
some music tech

That’s obviously just a brief run-through, and I could be wrong about all of those being open to non-Steinhardt students. However, I do know that string, voice, orchestra, and piano courses are definitely available.
