<p>Thanks. If I get into an ivy league school that would be great but I have no problem with going to rutgers. I have so much respect for the ninth oldest university in the country. Fun fact: when Japan was industrializing they sent men to cook college (one of the undergraduate schools at rutgers) in order to learn technology. They then returned with vast knowledge and completely industrialized and brought Japan to a world power in decades.</p>

<p>I know. I would like to go to an ivy league school but paying 50 k/year just isn’t worth it in today’s economy in my opinion. I think Rutgers is very good school with very affordable tuition rate.</p>

<p>I believe that Rutgers’ is one of the underrated universities in US. It is one of the top 61 leading research universities in the country. It is one of the top ten universities in nation for licensing and optioning inventions.
bottlecap1990, though national ranking may have dropped 4 places (which is not really a huge drop), our ratings and research funding for departments such as physics, literature, pharmacy, and engineering has gone up. And I believe last year we got the record endowment and grants in Rutgers’ history. If you have been on campus, you can clearly see the new infrastructure.</p>

<p>Science guy I looked at the ranking like 100 times before I applied. I am positive we were above Uconn and northeastern.</p>
