<p>From my limited experience so far:
-free gear (and LOTS of it)
-AMAZING facilities (literally the best in the country–the national team trains here)
-attentive coaches
-nutritionists/PTs/etc.
-varsity gym
-free tutoring/academic help/etc </p>
<p>We don’t get any sort of priority class registration, housing, dining, etc.This is fine by me, because I’m sure I would feel a lot more animosity from the non-athlete population if we did. Most people I talk to are really supportive of athletes and not bitter in the least.</p>
<p>The 2x a day lift/training session can be draining–but most people playing competitively at the collegiate level should be used to the stresses of training while at school. It’s just kicked up a notch in college.</p>
