What are the top 10 students from your HS majoring in?

@moscott Sure, we get brochures out here. But we also get a ton of untargeted brochures, such as those for small religious colleges and public “directional” universities in other states.

Name recognition is an issue. We don’t really know that say Williams is a top LAC vs. say Wesleyan. Even having been on CC for several years, I don’t know much about the top LACs other than to say that a good guess as to location is generally Massachusetts. I never really looked at them, since my DS17 was looking for highly-ranked physics programs with undergrad access to highly-regarded research (and to grad-level courses where necessary).

The awareness that LACs have STEM majors (beyond math, physics, chemistry, biology) is likely low here. The assumption (I don’t even know if it is true or not) is that for any LACs that do have engineering, the access to internships and research would be low.
