The LACs are not the rare option for considering STEM programs. Many of them have more STEM majors than some of the Ivies. Someone created a spreadsheet for the percent of Class of 2016 graduates earning degrees in STEM fields here: [redacted] The LACs do just fine despite mostly lacking engineering.
