Maybe I’m biased because I am a film major.

Not really, no. Your post made it sound as though you considered them to be smaller institutions inside of a larger single College. In the same way UCSD has multiple schools, you made it sound as though Harvey Mudd was simply a College that made up a LARGER college, that acted over and maintained control of all the Colleges within it.

For example, the way you spoke, you made it sound as though to apply as a transfer, I would apply to Claremont College, while specifying that Harvey Mudd was my first choice.

And that’s just not how it works. So, perhaps that is not what you MEANT, but I think that’s how everyone took it.

Oh, and your arrogance in defending your position against the Harvey Mudd student on the previous page probably didn’t help in swaying opinions in your favor. =]

Uh… lol. I never said they were part of a “larger single college” i have stated them to be part of a consortium. I know that they are separate entities, but that they are under the collective “Claremont Colleges.”

Harvey Mudd is more geared toward CompSci etc. Obviously I wouldn’t group them all together if a college has a specific purpose.

But I can see how it could’ve been taken as “the same thing = part of a bigger college.” i’m saying they’re not and I’ve already clarified this. Claremont as a whole > UCLA. Simple.

Hahahaha, that’s fair enough my friend! I’m just trying to clarify how that post COULD have been misinterpreted! Because that’s the way I read it at first, also!

But yeah, Claremont > UCLA! Fah sho!

[Go Bears!] >_>

USC is being so overrated here. Just among UC’S…

1 and 2 are way higher then the rest. Then 3 and 4 are much closer to the rest, then they are to the top 2. I would consider Davis better then USC for some majors.
