wow aasian, you’re a “freshman” taking calc?

Comparative Gov

Classes:
AP Physics B
AP Calculus BC
AP Spanish Language (College equivalent)
AP Biology (College equivalent… tentative at the moment)

Self-study (Pool of classes I’d like to self-study):
AP Psychology (Have textbook)
AP Computer Science AB (Have textbook)
AP English Lit
AP Physics C (Both; just to annoy my physics teacher)
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
AP USH

In reality… I’m not even sure how I’m going to “come out” to my counselor about wanting to take tests in courses I’m not in (unheard of here) So we’ll see… I might not end up self-studying anything. I guess I do have 2 more years.

isn’t it early to start?

maybe Physics C : Mechanics and Microecon
but that’s after the SAT and college apps =)

AP Psych= Barrons and a textbook called Psychology by David G. Myers is great!
AP Art History= whats a really good book/text book/ prep book to use??
AP French= Barrons

International student here;)

AP World History—taking SAT 2 in December
AP European History—i’m Austrian, soo this stuff is covered in my regular class
AP US. History
AP Macroeconomics
AP Microeconomics
AP French Language—also covered in my regular french class
AP Biology—already took SAT 2 BIO E (790)

AP Environmental Science, I’m thinking about Physics B because they’ll be offering Physics C at my school next year but it depends how much time I free up in January when I finish my online classes.

I hated Art History… just say no. lol

I really like the book by Myer’s. I have his 7 module book and he says “…and choceramics (the study of crackpots)”

Later it says he’s kidding, but it’s a great book.

uh oh is Art History really that bad? From some people I’ve heard that the AP test is easy and others have said it’s hard.

AP Human Geography-Barron’s
AP English Language-no idea what to use

Right now I’m attempting to self-study bio, but I’m so lazy!

It’s not that it’s particularly hard… I took it online, never read the textbook and just hated it. I did all of the work in 1 night of the week. It’s not worth it unless you enjoy it, and that takes more than just enjoying trips to art museums.

AP Environmental Sci

What books/guides do you use to self-study AP subjects and when is a good time to start

to pkwsurf:

For any calc-based physics:
Fundamentals of Physics, 7th or 8th ed

As a supplement, get a review guide; also get the solutions manual to the textbook.

AP Environmental Science
AP Statistics
maybe AP comp. Sci AB. (since i got a 4 on the AP comp A)
