I had a moment this morning while out doing errands. Sort of a cumulative moment.
I ran into an old friend/co-worker who I haven’t seen in person in years even though we were pretty close at one time. She is 79 and still can crack a whip.
Then I had the occasion to be either in front of or behind a few elderly people while shopping - they moved slow, I noted the things in their shopping cart which maybe indicated eating alone, they paid cash. . Just living the good life though even though it seemed they were not in the best shape.
Because of this, I’m thankful for TODAY and the ability to let others show me the way.
I’m also thankful for the opportunity for a new work journey in 2025 even at my age of 65. I feel lucky to have this avenue to still do good in the workplace (but part time!)
Of course I’m thankful for the things most important above all - my family, our pets, our newer home that I still pinch myself daily that I have water and nature outside my windows everyday.
And health. So thankful for health. Health is everything.
