If I could invite any celebrity to visit my dream college it would be the kpop band BTS. There are seven members in the band but just picking one member is too difficult. It wouldn’t be a great and fulfilling experience without all of them because they all influenced my life in a way.
I would choose this band because growing up this band has been a big part of my life, teaching me valuable life lessons through their songs and keeping me happy and sane through all the challenges I have faced. This band also helped me find my love for dance and Korean culture. Their a really popular band worldwide and I’m sure they can provide happiness to me and other fans on campus if they ever visit. The name of my dream college is Mount St Mary’s University in Los Angeles CA.
I would want to take Rihanna to a Husker football game! She’s my favorite artist and I’d love to see her do a half time show in person. I am going to the Univeristy of Nebraska-Lincoln!
I would invite Osumu Dazai. A writer from the WW2 Era, his work has interested me for many years and I absolutely love his writing. I would be honored to be able to bring him to Jacksonville State University
If I could invite any artist I would invite Kanye West. I chose Kanye west because of his creative mind, I feel Kanye truly reflects many peoples lives in his songs. Kanye is able to put his current point in life in a song which is why I feel people are able to relate to him. There is a song by Kanye for everyone. My dream college is Long Island University.
I would invite Simone Biles. She just seems really cool and it would be fun to meet such an amazing athlete! I would name my dream university after maybe a famous woman in STEM. Someone who has paved the path in fields like medicine, innovation, or conservation. Maybe Goodall university after Jane Goodall, a famous primatologist and anthropologist.
I would invite Roger Federer to the University of Washington. We’d go on a tour around campus, and then play on the tennis courts, as he is one of my favorite tennis idols, and I love playing tennis.
As someone who is Black, Carribean, African American, and Muslim, this combination of identities contribute to a unique perspective, blending cultural traditions, histories, and spiritual beliefs. Due to the complexity of my identities, I find it difficult to choose a “dream college.” Ultimately, I feel equally drawn to Ivy League institutions, which offer rigorous academic environments, and HBCUs, which celebrate Black excellence. I believe that I am qualified for every college I apply to, and each will provide worthwhile experiences to mold my mind and abilities, so making a pick is challenging. In this way, I frequently think about Ruby Bridges, whose resilience and perseverance in the face of hardship greatly inspires me. After transitioning from a predominantly Hispanic school to a more diversified high school, I’ve experienced isolation, just like Ruby. In spite of this, I have pushed forward. Given that Ruby Bridges’ tale exemplifies tenacity, I would like to ask her to attend the university of my choice.
BTS.
I’d choose to invite them over and over again. Fame and fandom aside, when i look deeper into their personal lives i feel inspired and motivated because someone like me whose family is so financially unstable to the point that i need to search and scramble for any undergraduate scholarship available just so that i can attend a good college and attain a reputable degree, remembers people like them when ever i feel too emotionally exhausted to keep searching for scholarships and failing, i always tell myself, “BTS didn’t start out rich and things were tough for them at the start of their career, but they didn’t give up and today everyone knows BTS”, their achievements are so inspiring that when you sit and think you’re a failure, you’re just gonna be like ‘okay crying time’s over, time to get up and make my dreams a reality, BTS didn’t become successful by crying, they worked their asses off and so can you’
I would invite Billie Eilish to my dream college the University of Berkeley because she is an inspirational voice for young people and her music relates to many issues we face.
If I could choose one celebrity to bring to my dream college campus it would be Randall King. He is my favorite country music artist and is passionate about what he does. I would take him to Texas Tech University which is where I will be attending nursing school in the spring. He is a raider fan and I think it would be so much fun to spend the day at a football game together!
I would invite Ellen Ochoa to come with me to San Diego State, which is my dream school and the school that she attended. I remember learning about her in middle school and idolizing her so much, as most other historical figures or important people we learned about were men. She showed me that women could leave an imprint in history, too. #AscentSponsored
If I could invite anyone to UCLA, it would be Ryan Reynolds—because who better to energize a room full of sleep-deprived college students than a guy who can make even a cell phone plan sound thrilling?
Why Ryan? Imagine him delivering a keynote in Royce Hall titled “How to Excel at Excel: Acting, Advertising, and Owning a Gin Company Instead.” Ryan has mastered the art of combining ambition, creativity, and humor—qualities every UCLA student needs to survive finals and make their mark. Imagine him giving a keynote on “The Power of Saying Yes (Even to Mint Mobile),” or dropping pearls of wisdom about turning ideas into global phenomena, all while delivering punchlines that leave us in stitches.
We’re all striving to make our mark, he would show us that no dream is too big to rhyme—even if it’s about marketing gin or playing a sarcastic superhero.
I would love to see Suburb Talk. They’re a group of relatable young adults who have a podcast and I love listening to their experiences about becoming adults and finding yourself.
I want to go to SCU
If I could invite a celebrity to visit my dream college it would be Bryson Tiller. Not only is he a great singer but he is also very motivational so I feel like I would benefit from him being there. The name of my dream college is Central Michigan University (CMU).
Randomly enough, I’d probably invite Marie Curie, if she were alive, to visit Duke University. I’m sure she’d love to see how far science has gotten, and it would be amazing to speak to such a genius, it would probably be the honor of my lifetime.
I would invite Dwayne The Rock Johnson to visit the University of South Carolina in Columbia SC. I chose him because he is a popular figure and someone whose mindset I look up to.
I would invite @itsaghogho because she is a study influencer that shares tips and advice for students like me! I have tried her study methods and I noticed a difference in my test results. Next semester, I will be transferring to California State University, Fullerton!
