Masterus,

What? Actually… There are different tracks in the math sequence. Honors Precalculus is actually PRECALCULUS and it prepares the student for AP Calculus BC the following year (which I did get recommended to but decided to turn it down so that I could be allowed to take other APs). Also, the three semester program is located at the Montgomery Blair Magnet School which I do NOT attend (in fact, i turned it down). The three semester program is designed for kids who have not yet taken Algebra II Honors and are just coming in from Honors Geometry (which IS offered in MS). I took Honors Algebra II in 8th grade. You wouldnt understand the harships i had to endure as an 8th grader who had to go to HS in the morning everyday because Algebra II was not offered.

Furthremore, AP Psychology i AM allowed to take (it’s called an ELECTIVE) and since i finished some of my History requirements (AP World History) before even entering HS I was allowed to take it. Also, note how there is no LUNCH period? Maybe it’s because I skipped it to take AP Psychology.

You have no right to prod into my life because you don’t understand the things i had to go through 1 semester freshman year. (Uncle dies, mom diagnosed with pelvic mass - awaiting results for cancer + or -, freind dies in car accident in Illinois - youger than me). Furthremore, you must understand the serious grade deflation that goes on here. In Chemistry the average Q grades was 83.4, in precalc the average was a 79.8, and in APUSH the average was a 77.2. In relation to these averages, classes I scored exceptionally well in these classes where there are usually only 1 or 2 As.

Finally, I really don’t think you should pry into my life because unlike you, I am not a complete nerd, although I CAN speak 4 languages fluently (+3 im sill learning, 7 in all). Nevertheless, I DO have other duties outsite of the classroom and CC as president of freshman class, staff positions on various county departments, Clarinet and Piano in state ensembles (of course, asian-ness :-)), being a CEO my own business (budget $15000 so far + 35 employees) and my various “internships”/shadowing of various politicians in the Washington-metro area.

FYI, I attend a ‘W’ school in the moco area.

Lol, you can’t beat me, Im debate team cocaptain elect. :-P

Since she lives in Florida, I’d guess they are FLVS courses. Otherwise that would be a heck of alot of money to pay for 3 online classes. :D

Also, illusionsx, how are the AP Bio and AP Micro courses in FLVS? I was thinking of taking one or both of those courses, but if it’s extremely difficult, I won’t do it…

J-Man I have taken AP Bio online and it is nothing like the classroom version. We never get to completely do the labs and I had a bad experience with the teacher. The tests are also horrible and don’t relate to the material. They ask random facts from the book too. Workwise, it is okay. I managed to get a A in the class both semesters since the assignments make up for the tests.
