What colleges like IB?

Based on my son’s experience, I think that all colleges probably like to see the IB Diploma, as the Diploma program requires skills like research and writing that are key to college success, and it also requires hard work and persistence, also keys to college success. (Apart from the fact my son believes having the IB Diploma helped him in the admissions process, the program clearly did set him up well for college studies.) The only systematic study of the specific issue that you raise that I am aware of is this 2011 study by the IBO, which you may already have seen:

Other articles focus on the extent to which IB program credits can be used at particular colleges. There is a really wide range. Some colleges only give credit for HL 5s and 6s or maybe only 6s, some give credit for SL classes as well. You can always find this information somewhere on the school website.
