What colleges/universities offer free unlimited credits?

I looked at some student reviews and found out UC Berkeley and Rice offer free unlimited credits every semester, so you can take as many courses as u like.

Do any other colleges ranking top 30 offer such a thing?

thx for any replies!

What on Earth are you talking about?

None.

If this person asking for schools that don’t charge additional tuition for taking more than - say 18 credits?

re: mom2collegekids
yep, that’s what i’m talking about!

I’ve heard only of colleges that charge a discount tuition for credits over 16. Perhaps some do offer extra credits for free.

None as far as I know. There are some schools though that will waive overage charges for certain classes, such as at U of R (where I go), music ensembles and private lessons don’t count for that. However, if you go above 6 units and don’t have those classes, you will be charged extra. In addition, you need a dean override to sign up for more than 5.5.

UC Berkley does not have unlimited credit caps, you need a dean or department override to sign up for more.

rice also needs a special approval to sign up for more classes.

These overrides are not that easy to get for good reason. Taking too many classes can cause you to get failing grades.

I thought most LACs were generally a single price for as many credits as you can take.

^except for if you go above the maximum credit limit, your tuition doesn’t cover that and you’ll be charged extra.
