What did you bring to college that you never used/wish you hadn't brought?

I recommend bringing anything you think you might need, and as the year goes on and you realize you don’t need it, bring it home when your parents come to pick you up.

I ended up using most things I brought at one point or another, but in particular what I didn’t really use was school/office supplies. I stocked up on things like notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, staples, paper clips, tape, etc., and I barely used any of it. All I ended up ever needing was like two notebooks and some pens/pencils, the rest went unused and took up a lot of space.

But different people are different, what you will use and won’t use really depends more on how you live.

i had this big trunk that i was gonna keep under my bed for extra storage, but i pretty much never used it. it just ended up wasting space

I find a laptop lock useful, if only for peace of mind.

Why can’t you leave your clothes in the closet when you go home over break? Is it a mandatory school policy or is it to prevent theft?

I third, or is it fourth (?) the laptop lock. I never used it, the battery started dying and it would beep incessantly and finally I just shoved it in a drawer some where and I haven’t seen it since…and that was a few years ago.
I have no idea where that thing is.

I am dorming for the first time recently and everything i brought i could carry in my hands in 1 trip, as for my other 3 roommates…they took 6 or 7 trips and needed help opening the doors.

they still forgot to bring trashcans and soap.
