That buffalo wings are named after Buffalo, NY. ![]()
Glad it worked for you. I usually just drive with my iphone, online license in the myColorado app (official state app). At Walgreens, the clerk said they needed a real license in order to sell me Claritin-D (OTC med that is behind the pharmacy counter).
Well, haven’t tried to do anything as “high risk” as buying allergy medicine, so don’t know if I’d have a problem if I presented my apple wallet and electronic driver’s license. Since our neighborhood pharmacy knows me (unfortunately because we are frequent customers), I think they’d figure out how to work with me. In any case, we renew licenses in January so I will get a physical license then.
It’s crazy that we need licenses to buy allergy meds anyway.
The online license will not get you into a Casino, at least in Indiana! My 69 year old sister was carded at the door and her online license couldn’t get her by the bouncers.
I had not used my online license much to date. I suspect I can get by well enough over next two months with it until I renew license & get a physical one again. I was pleased the bank accepted my electronic license to cash fairly large check.
Did you lose your license? Or get your wallet stolen??
Today I learned that some states have online licenses. I live in NC and pretty sure we don’t have that.
I lost my card pouch that had my license and my medicare & insurance card. Maybe it will turn up but I’m not holding my breath. Nothing else was taken, nor CCards not cash so I’m thinking I may have left it somewhere. I asked my Schwab agent to see if it’s there, since i showed it to the notary there.
Well, today I learned that you can have Medicare without having an online Medicare account! I mean, I know my late mother didn’t have one, but I just assumed that in the last decade or so, pretty much any interaction with them would be online. (I do remember seeing “print a replacement card” or something similar as one of the suggested options when you log in.)
My original Medicare card got a bit tattered so I went on line and got a new one. I have one in my card case and one in my home office safe.
Yeah - they clearly tell you “do not laminate” but that little piece of paper goes through a lot if you have to pull it out for every doctor visit. I didn’t laminate, but it’s enclosed in a little plastic sleeve!
Not me - but my daughter learned that you can make pancakes without a store bought boxed pancake mix ![]()
Oops, we had my husband’s laminated. It was going to be destroyed if we didn’t.
Why would they say not to laminate?
Mine is laminated too! Since health care cards went to paper I have always laminate them.
I honestly don’t remember, but I’m sure I saw that somewhere. Next time I log in, I’ll check to see where I read that and report back.
I suspect social security cards may have some security features on them that laminate may not work well with.
LOL - I was laminating my brother’s Medicare card and it was going in sideways so I tried to grab it…. he now has a partially laminated crumpled up card. I have asked him to order a new one many times but I think he has forgotten his SSA password.
I think (but don’t know for sure) that it is easier to change things on them if you then laminate them. Easier to hide a number change or see if the card is a fake.
My first DL was just a piece of paper, not even as strong as card stock. Pretty easy to change a date. Not that I’D do that…
I’ll tell you what I didn’t learn…
How to undo the endless loop of FB telling me to log in from a different device on BOTH devices. Now I’m completely locked out. Which is fine, except I heavily rely on Messenger for communication and now have no way to access it. URGH. There is in option to send in a screen shot of your face, but they say it takes 48 hours. I’m assuming it’s more than that because of the holiday, but of course there is no other information.
Tell her cakes too!
