My astronomy teacher told me mine, I did look it up though to make certain it was true lol.

you guys know that some of admissions officers have screen names on this website? They look at the blogs and start to laugh, especially when they see students vomiting their stats online. I dont think its too smart to post your short answers up here, who knows they could match you up and see your previous comments. Ask me how I know? I went to Tarheel Shadow and this guy Dave said every thing I just told you guys verbatim.

I think at this point, it is clear we are just having a bit of fun in the waiting period before decisions are released. And it’s acceptable to be nervous… have you never read the blog comments on unc-admissions.blogspot.com?

(If anything, all this proves is that we might be a great cohort… getting along and laughing about what some of us put in the short answer section. It’s not like we’re posting our essays prior to the admissions deadline…)

I love the comments on the UNC blog! Especially on the post where they push the notification date back…

Seriously though, what are they going to do, rescind admissions? Based on what? All I’m doing is comparing my profile to other students and asking advice. Actually, I’d consider this a positive, because we’ve all been obsessively stalking the UNC page. We’re showing interest!

It’s the facebook profiles people should be worried about.

The anguish was palpable, haha.

Exactly. I loved, especially, when other commenters started attacking one another and proclaiming that the naysayers “don’t deserve to go to Carolina!”

well i’m just delivering the message. good things happen to people who wait.

We are waiting. Patiently. With other people who are passionate about UNC! It’s all in good fun and it’s a nice way to relieve stress.

If admissions saw it as a negative, then I think they are misinterpreting the point of CC.

Thanks? We are waiting, but having some fun while doing so. What’s so wrong with that? Lighten up :)

In way I prefer it to be unknown. If it were at 6 it would make me that much more nervous.

Now it will be kind of random. Less stressful I think.

This is my first post, this website has been really helpful! It seems like it has been forever since I submitted my application. It took me forever to come up with decent responses for the short answer questions. For the last book that I have read out of class, it was actually the last harry potter book, even though I was worried that this would look bad. Its just that my summer and semesters are spent constantly reading books for my english class that I don’t have time to pick a book on my own. For the question about what most people would be suprised about me with was that I traced my ancestry and have found connections to royalty. Where I would travel is 100 years into the future to see the status of America and the world. The form of communication is text talk of course even though I see that most people put that, lol rofl idk my bff jill, hahaha. The question I would most like answered was about if there are other forms of intelligent life in space or another universe. My most prized possession I think I put my camera. I can’t wait until Sunday, this will be an exciting day. Good luck to everybody!!

I can’t wait for tomorrow either!

It may be bogus, and I don’t really pay much attention to the stats people… but it’s a great place to talk about UNC and talk to parents/alumni.

And lament about the balmy weather ;)
