<p>AdOfficer, this is really weird. The IB program only allows diploma candidates to take 2 SL exams in their junior year, not 3.</p>
<p>Marian – exactly! I do think that not all Admin officers are completely versed in how the IB works (and how unusual it is to do 2 SL exams in the Junior year – that doesn’t mean that the student is necessarily doing better than the other kids, they may have picked a much easier subject).</p>
<p>It may be that some IB kids also take AP tests (my son will have a couple done by 10th grade) but most kids would have just 1 SL test if any. And how would the Admin Officer know if you weren’t sending in the scores?</p>
<p>I’m currently in full IB and am not taking any AP courses. I would like to self-study some. I’m wondering if an IB course has to be HL to sufficiently prepare you for an AP exam in the same subject?</p>
