@CharlotteLetter Yes, it does depend on the college- I guess I was speaking more from my own experience! I do go to a big state university myself, and my impression is that if you don’t look for help, you won’t get any, especially if the class sizes get big. I still think it’s a good habit to not expect study guides in college- in high school I definitely felt like it was expected for a teacher to take the time to make a thorough study guide for you, while in college it tends to vary a lot more.
@silmaril I suppose you’re right (mind you I’ve only taken 5 on campus courses, so my experience is still limited - I panicked at having no practice exams for linear algebra; maybe that explains the huge pile of matrix/linear algebra books laying near me? )
I think it depends a lot on the prof in addition to the university… (but study topics are always NICE, as opposed to ‘know everything’ when a lot has been covered)
