@poppyseedbagel if you look through the March 10th results thread and similar threads you can see which schools students on CC applied to and interesting background info. Often, these CC students have posted their impressions why they were accepted. Maybe someone can post that link to the Results thread. We found it very helpful in the application process. Beyond that, I think that AO’s look for qualities in a student that transcend the GPA/SSAT stats. This would include character, maturity, ability to get along with others, independence, demonstrated commitment to something (performing arts, sports, robotics club), ability to express yourself (you will need this more than you know), willingness to grow, and if you come across as a happy kid IMO. You will be living in a community, so how will you contribute to that community? Chances are if you tell an AO that you enjoy spending every night and weekend hour playing Fortnite, it may be a “red flag”…AO’s also want to hear not only what you accomplished but how you changed or grew from the experience.
