<p>Welcome Week is optional, but basically everyone does it, so it’s good to get tickets. I was at Orientation 7 last year, and the move-in days were a little awkward because I didn’t know anybody and there weren’t any real planned activities, but I know last year they offered free tours of Boston led by faculty members, and I went on one of those. If they do that again (I got an email about it sometime during Orientation) I would definitely recommend it… great chance to meet new people and get off campus for a while- trust me, you’ll need it, with Orientation and Welcome Week so close together!</p>
