What do you collect?

I have collections of sharks teeth, sea glass and sea shells. They are beautiful, take up almost no space, and remind me of beaches I have known and loved.

Books, art, jewelry and china.

bookworm: We sure did. We no longer have the board and I don’t think I ever took a picture of it. My memory of it is that yes, we painted it green and blue. I think we set it on top of milk crates.

I used to collect airline barf bags, but they don’t seem to have them any more. I thought my Mom had tossed them, but I found them in a box in the basement. Lots of airlines that don’t exist anymore!

Lol! mathmom, Alaska still has them!

Fire&drain, lots of love went not that board, for me and you.

Uh oh: People who collect stuff don’t know how to get rid of it.

I collect banded onyx (green/brown/purple) bowls, plates, urns, candlesticks, you name it.

@VeryHappy ,

I was about to post that article! And this is the fact from it worth noting. I can’t imagine what the rest of that individual’s house might have looked like. :slight_smile:

Glad that I collect shoes. :slight_smile: At least I can throw out the beat up, falling apart pairs! And kiddos definitely like shopping in my closet. :wink:

I pick up rocks everywhere I go (I keep the oddest looking ones). The fun part is taking rocks (odd looking or not) from one part of the USA/foreign country, and throwing them out in my area, to mess up the minds of future scientists/collectors a few thousand years down the line when they ask themselves “how in the world did this get here?”

Just don’t bring lava rocks from HI - it is a bad omen. The economy tanked in 2009 after Mr. B smuggled a chunk in his suitcase! :wink: He will never, ever do this!

Oh, that was the cause of the recession!

Well, we DO have a collection of the wooden trains and some Brio and wooden blocks from when our kids were young. They are still in good shape and we hope the grandkids will enjoy them as much as S & D did! It’s not a purposefully “collection” per se, but just the pieces we bought for the kids to play with and never have parted with so far, even with the kids now ages 27 & 25.

VH - absolutely. B-)
