The trend towards “branding” oneself. I don’t need to see your self-promotion via social media and your “live video” nor the hashtag you created for yourself. You (and your family) are not a product.
Hate branding, totally with you on that one.
Here’s one: Life-hacking
Here’s another: Self-improvement
I can’t stand hearing the word “hack”. So overused.
Or pets.
Dogs in strollers.
laugh tracks are terrible
babytalk, it has it’s place, def not with pets!
All this kale hate ! I actually do love kale , but it really has to be prepared right or it’s just tough, chewy leaves.
When put into salad , it is great leftover …probably because the vinaigrette softens the leaves but doesn’t make it soggy.
I wish I liked beets , but they taste like dirt to me.
The branding thing. The #1 reason I avoid Facebook like the plague…
Zen and the art of Motorcycle management
The Simpsons (I agree it’s funny, but think it’s pernicious)
Gone Girl (the book)
Anything featuring famous Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon
@musicprnt HATED that book, at least the first half because I couldn’t finish it. So self-absorbed. If Pirsig was young today, he’d be branding himself on social media.
@doschicos:
I agree, to me it was the story about a whiny, self involved person whose ‘self searching trip’ with his kid seemed more to be a screwed up person treating his kid like crap.
@hunt:
I started skimming through gone girl, wondering what the buzz was about, and after a couple of chapters of skimming it I realized it was a book with no characters worth reading about, and when I found out about the ending I am glad I didn’t read it.
GEICO commercials.
I would assume everyone hates these abominations but then I actually hear real flesh and blood people talking about them and laughing about how funny they are. So I assume I am on a Bizarro planet and people like them somehow.
oh and i love beets, not the crummy ones from a can packed in cough syrup but real beets sliced thin and sauteed in coconut oil. i even like beet greens.
Nike, with the exception of one shoe that I’ve carved out from my overall dislike.
@Wien2NC. Wait surely you don’t mean the GEICO “Spy Mom” commercial. I think that was truly creative and funny! You might not think so but can you really not see how people would find that funny?
Jodi Picoult books for book club. I changed book clubs because they kept picking her books.
The Beatles

I’ll take Yoko over John ten times out of ten. And Paul McCartney may as well be Barry Manilow to me.
