What do you hate....that almost everyone else loves

^ maybe, @doschicos, but I watched it once because I had a bit of a crush on the redhead lead female dancer.

Eta: I guess I’m supposed to smile when I say that

Yogurt–I just stopped eating it because I really don’t like it. I tried–put granola in it, fresh fruit, some nuts. Everyone says it’s so healthy.

Big birthday parties for kids 3 and under.

My S1 had a classmate whose parents threw her and her siblings huge parties every year. I’ve been to weddings that were less elaborate.

The Lion King on Broadway. Finally saw it after years of refusing to pay the ridiculous ticket prices because I won $30 tickets through a lottery. So glad I never paid full price. The acting and singing were mostly terrible except for one or two characters. Songs that I was looking forward to, especially Be Prepared and I Just Can’t Wait to Be King, were completely lacking in energy. The puppetry and costumes were cool, but the show itself was pretty boring. I think the show is banking on its hype and everybody involved feels they don’t have to work very hard anymore.

IKEA, apparently.

^^Ikea is guaranteed to cause an argument between my husband and myself every time we’re there. And we rarely argue. I blame the pressboard fumes…

^ wait, almost everyone loves IKEA? It’s not a necessary evil? Who knew? Live and learn.

DS considers it a validation of his relationship that it survived not one, not two, but three trips to IKEA. Many of his friends didn’t make it to the checkout lines before having meltdowns.

ETA: typing while MoD was posting. I have got to enter my posts on my PC rather than iPad.

April and May. I think it goes back to the end of the school year when I would be disappointed with myself (and my parents with me) for not having done better, and there wasn’t a lot I could do about it. And everybody would be burned out and sick of each other and all the girl factions would be fighting … just not a good time.

End of May through early June here! The end-of-school-year recitals, games, and other events seemed to be happening every other day during that time. Even though kiddos are long out of school, I still get the anxiety… like I am going to miss something very important.

Driving.

Well, maybe folks don’t like them so much but they sure seem more prevalent these days, unfortunately: High top tables, even in nicer restaurants. No, I do not care to have my legs dangling for an hour or two while I’m trying to relax and pay for a nice dinner.
