<p>I won’t be able to answer about special benefits, since I’m an incoming freshman doing computer science (close, but not engineering…).</p>
<p>This is a guess - I’ll have to leave it up to someone else in this forum to confirm - the interest in engineering before college is when you apply and mark that you intend to enter engineering at UW. This MAY OR MAY NOT be noted in applications to certain majors when you apply after first year, etc.</p>
<p>Sorry I can’t really answer your questions! I’m sure someone on the forum will be able to answer them though, but worst case just contact one of the engineering advisors :)</p>
