Huh, I must be the only one still with a “Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee.” "Click here to submit mid-year grades online.

Status last updated: 03/18/2009"
Wonder what that means…kind of matters since im about to book tickets to visit UCSB because I thought I got rejected…

candy45, that’s my guess as well. We’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to see for sure. You have a little more hope because you appied to the SCA.

The first one was in December, then on 3/25, then yesterday with the oasis link, and then today I got the “acted upon” status. (I thought that last year “acted upon” meant rejection? I can log in to RSVP though.)

this yr it seems that the acted on is mixed. 5 people have reported on here having that and getting an acceptance. also, since you are 100% admitted confirms that the “acted on” just means “reached a decision”.

That’s too bad. Terrible to hear Starde. I’m sure there are other, just as great for you, options to choose from. If anything, you can transfer in next year.

Thanks^^^ I knew USC was a longshot for me, but I was still hoping that I might have a chance. I do have other great options right to look at such as NYU and Chapman. I don’t know if I would like to transfer, but I’m thinking of whether or not I should appeal.

Sorry to hear that, Starde. But hey, you got NYU Tisch, right? Which is just as good as USC, I think.

By the way, just letting you guys know that I recently just logged on to my status just for the hell of it and saw the “acted upon” message. Even though I was accepted 10 days ago. So it doesnt necessarily mean rejection.

^^^Yeah, Tisch is looking really good to me right now. I know I definitely want to apply to USC’s graduate school in 4 years for their Peter Stark Producing program. Oh USC, I think you just rejected a future successul Hollywood producer I’ll still cheer on your football team though (since there’s a chance my next school won’t have a football team).

Starde - I think you should really look into Chapman. It resembles SC more than NYU in my opinion. If I don’t get into SC Chapman is my next choice. Their program is amazing, and the enviroment for filmmaking is honestly better than SC’s. I just know that the connections are still stronger at SC but to be honest in filmmaking you just have to get yourself noticed and then connections will be made regardless.
