<p>Y’know, prior to coming on College Confidential, I never thought twice about my USC application status and only checked it, I dunno, once or twice a month. Ever since I’ve been coming to this USC board this month, I’ve been paranoid and checking my status at least 3 times a day! XD Just checked again and it’s still at 3/19</p>
<p>Ugh, I’m here in the OC and still no status update 
Applied to SPPD and not sure if that has any effect on my lack of status change.
Prelim review 12/10, In Review sometime in February, but date hasn’t changed since No Oasis link, either. Blahhh!</p>

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2009)
Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.

<p>so my staus was last updated 02/09/2009. however there was a thread on here recently where someone said after talking to the admissions office they told him that the whole status thing doesnt mean anything. So I am just wondering why everyone is so preoccupied with the status thing if apparently it is not all related to whether you get accepted or not?? What does this whole status thing really mean??</p>
<p>I think only in the past couple days, USC started doing the “missing items link”, and so far, everyone who has gotten that link has been accepted. So it’s understandable to assume there is some kind of correlation.</p>
<p>Have hope guys! Mine took about 3 days to go from being reviewed to the missing items link.</p>
<p>I saw first update (since Dec/2008 stuck) changed to 3/18/09. Then the “3/20/09” along with missing link came up yesterday. That link takes me to “Admission and Fin Services”. Is that the Oasis link that everyone is talking about. I was hoping 3/18 was a likely admission. But I don’t like 3/20 update. Should I be worried. No letter so far in the mail. </p>

<p>What does it mean if my status hasn’t been updated since 12/31/2008? I thought that just meant the last changes made to my application by ME…</p>

<p>Before I found this forum like last week I thought I just meant that they processed by stuff early. Perhaps that is why? I mean, there are so many applicants, so maybe they just got to us first? And I did turn my app in very early in November.</p>
<p>Haven’t checked it yet but I’m sure there hasn’t been a status update.</p>
<p>yeah i kind of agree with englishphoto91 maybe this is just a bit excessive… i mean my friend talked to the admissions office and they said that the status updates had nothing to do with whether you would be accepted or not. And there was also a thread posted on here a while ago saying the exact same thing. I’m anxious too, but maybe you guys are getting worked up over nothing…</p>
<p>It’s not so much the statuses themselves as the timing of the updates. Yes, everybody gets the same updates, but the timing of them sort of hints at acceptance. It’s just a trend that’s been noticed, not a sure-fire notification.</p>
<p>Plus, we’re in the home stretch, we need all the hope we can muster! :]</p>
<p>What do you all think about this - My status was unchanged for months - showing last updated 12/1 the scholarship date; then it changed to 3/11 but I haven’t gotten any additional change or the OASIS link. Should I just give up hope?</p>
<p>Do you only get the oasis link if you applied for financial aid? So if you didnt apply you won’t get the link on your status page, yeah?</p>
<p>I didn’t apply for Financial Aid and I got the Oasis link.</p>
