I would say National Honors Society is a waste of time. You can actually get more volunteering done on your own if you’re prudent enough. Volunteer opportunities that were actually fun ’ the Cinderella project’ I got to sort through donated formal Wear and then help girls in need get stuff they needed for prom. Another fun volunteer thing I did was a night time fun run during the holidays. Everyone wears Christmas lights. So it was a rave like atmosphere and we raised money for this food pantry. I helped direct traffic. My main extracurricular was ballroom dancing which I did for 7 years. I also volunteered at this retirement community for a few years. It was really awesome because a lot of the residents liked me driving them around in the golf cart. There were all these nice paths on the grounds. Helping with therapy chickens was fun too. The clubs available at my school were really uninspiring so I just did a lot of research about what I could do independently. The only school club I did belong to was gardening club.
