People especially tend to forget information they’ve only been exposed to briefly and/or superficially. That’s an educational failure, imo.
I’ve seen it said time and again that “Civics” was dropped to become “Social Studies”. I have no idea and was not in education. Just saying what I’ve seen lack of knowledge blamed on. I was lucky enough to have good, plain old Civics…though I rolled my eyes and hated it at the time.
Yes, we have students posting on these forums who seemingly have difficulty calculating their GPA.
