After March 10th, you (or parents) may be contacted by an alum, a current student, or a current parent. Some schools send extra swag (like a t-shirt) upon signing your entry forms @ April 10th.
We had calls from about half the schools from a current parent - this was super helpful and really nice. We were surprised that year when some schools did not have a parent call to answer questions or give us a welcome. It was really great hearing from a local parent. So, if any AO is lurking - I would recommend this to your parents/alumni network.
After April 10th, you may get a different email and password for a new portal. Through this, you will receive communications as an accepted student who is registered for the Fall 2020 start. You will be asked to submit final school transcript (stay on top of this). DO make a copy of your final transcript and bring it with you to your new BS registration day/opening day. We know a few kids that needed this because of mix-ups and lost emails!
Sometime in May (usually before your current school year ends), you will receive an email with a link to the placement test portal. Most schools give placement tests in math and foreign language.
Do start making appointments now for doctors and getting medical records (immunizations) to be completed by early summer. Most schools want all this information sent to them over the summer and it can take months to get a doctor’s appointment!
