@panpacific Wow, I had no idea! Super cool. :))
Things to add to the bucket list.
Or worst-kept.
What I wonder is if “CC Super Moderator” went on the college applications as an EC… :-?
More like a community service!
LOL @GoatMama !! True, very, very true!
He’s clearly full-time on CC, part-time student.
Oh is that so?? I honestly had no idea. I’ve known skieuroup’s an ivy college student for a long time, but I just had no clue where exactly he goes to? Guess I’m just slow in picking up that “worst-kept secrete” :))
and court-ordered at that
In all seriousness, no.
All these question of @skieurope, I feel like it’s the panel for that old tv show, What’s My Line?
Which one of you is Arlene Francis and who is Soupy Sales?
(Let’s see if skieurope knows this reference without googling. )
I do Although TBH, I’m not sure I ever knew that Soupy Sales was on it. I’m more a fan of the Arlene Francis/Bennett Cerf/Dorothy Kilgallen/John Charles Daly version. I’ve seen many episodes via YouTube.
@skieurope, you rock! Now get back to your schoolwork!
@skieurope It may be too much to ask, but let me try any way. Care to share what helps YOU get into your boarding school and your college
@panpacific Honestly, no idea. My grades and SAT’s were good, but not perfect and I claim no hook. I will say that I did spend a lot of time polishing my essays, and that the one college that I did not spend a lot of time on the essays WL’d me. So go figure. As I’ve often said, there is no magic formula.
I did delete out allusions above to my college and BS. I’ve long given up on trying to maintain secrecy, but would prefer other users not spelling it out .
@skieurope Oh well, too late. Now that I know them, you can bet they will spread like wildfire. Just kidding… :))
Your formula sounds pretty magic to me! I see your case at least a glimpse of hope for those unhooked out there. All is not lost without THE hooks.
Meep
^ That’s the name of our cat!
@skieurope I know this is late, but I agree. I started fencing WAY before I even thought about bs, and the reason I did it was because I was committed and interested in it. I think that if you only do something for someone/something, you won’t be able to do it as well. You should never live life trying to appease someone else, it just doesn’t work like that.
@skieurope And fencing is presented as both a team sport and an individual sport at Nationals, it’s just that team isn’t as common as individual.
