@abasket they sent me a return label. No big deal.
Cause you’re nice! But an extra trip for you at the holidays.
I think you chose their best gadget but we like the ice cream scoops with anti-freeze in the handle that helps you scoop through even very hard ice cream.
I had ordered a cute personalized (picture) gift for both the kids from zazzle. I was excited about this one - the others were all pretty practical gifts. Parcel shipped, came to MA and then instead of coming to my house, went to NJ !! I pinged support - they were great. They considered the order lost and ordered replacements to be made/shipped out right away. Only problem was that they wouldn’t get here until after the holiday. I did complain and they knocked off 30% off the bill.
Good news is that after the holidays, we received both the shipments - the original and the replacement! So, now, all of us in the family have one, not just the kids
We bought ourselves an after-holiday gift, after exploring a kitchen shop in a nearby town where me met another couple for breakfast. It’s a clip-on strainer to avoid use of the clunkier collander. So far we like it. $9.99, dishwasher safe.
I need one of those but with smaller holes. Love the nice and bright color.
I have 3 colander/strainers, all different sizes and all have their purpose. The smaller ones just store inside the larger one
When I bought a set of Cutco knives many years ago (when they had young students selling who came to your house), they threw in for free - the pizza wheel ($66) and the cheese knife ($88). I love the cheese knife and still use it. The pizza wheel stunk - my husband always hated it (replaced it recently with an inexpensive oxxo one).
My daughter loves loves loves green (especially that bright green of the colander). Her apartment (especially the kitchen) is filled with green stuff - colanders, tea filter, spoon rest, electric tea kettle, hot water bottle, etc. Every time I see a bright green kitchen item I am very tempted to buy it for her.
LOL - something Kohls promotional email suggested to me (perhaps based on my web browsing history)
We bought a prank gift box one year for my sister in law. It was not this one, but a similar idea. It was funny when she opened it.
Even at $4.42 sale price I’d be unlikely to purchase…. unless it put me over a “level” to get free shipping or extra Kohls cash.
I don’t think I would have paid that much for it either. And I don’t think I got it in Khols.
D1 also loves green.
Your D would like my kitchen. I didn’t design it. I bought it as is.
The big danger of prank gifts is the recipient may miss opening the hidden gift inside OR may be offended.
The one we had gotten was for a ridiculous tool or appliance. We knew it would be not be offensive. Also, we knew we would be with her when she opened it (so she would open it and see the real gift).
I do see how it could be fun and funny, especially if you are present when it is opened so the real gift will not be discarded.
Yea, prank gifts need to go to close friends/family, when you are there to watch them open it.
We sometimes wrap gifts in unusual wrappings sometimes to do “inexpensive pranks.”. For example, sometimes we will wrap a small jewelry box with earrings in a big cardboard box or other interesting shaped box with bells or other noisy items. We especially did this when the kids were younger and would feel and shake gifts. If I’m gifting the same thing to both kids, I try to wrap them so they appear quite different.
Years ago I got my parents theater tickets and had them “wrapped” in a can. There was a booth at the mall that would can your gift for you. It was fun watching them open it.
We have a game where we put odd gift giver names on our Christmas gift tags. All three of us do it now (H, D, and me). So a gift of socks might say from Toes, or a gift of maple syrup might say from Mr. Tree.
