What identifies us as American tourists

Cobrat, 4.7-5.4, with exceptions. I’m seeing that US runs 4.1-5.9.

For us, Bavaria. Not a fan of the northern beers. Bavaria, for us, was a different world.
Never saw folks sharing a Maß. But though I could eventually drink more than one, I doubt I’d try it today.

Lje, what beer?

Lookingforward, the name of it has letters not in our alphabet , but it was something like this :

Edelweiss Hefestrub…the two ss looked more like a capitol B and the u had two dots above it.

Lje, when in doubt, always check total wine!!!

Gads, DH was mildly allergic to Hefeweizen.

Lje, that’s really a stylized double S and even in Germany, you can usually just replace is with SS.

Export beer can vary, just saying. Go for it.

BB, I seem to be close enough too Total Wine to make a road trip, yay. I have to order the obscure wine I want from another site, though.

TW ships where they can legally.

Oops, you’ll need to search for who serves it or sells it has it near you or can ship online.

I have been looking and calling various places around the country for it. I thought it would be nice to have some for Christmas for the beer enthusiasts in our family
BunsenBurner, I just emailed that company today ! It shows up on their website so fingers crossed
It really was such a great tasting beer , like nothing I have ever had. We had it on tap at a small place in Copenhagen , by suggestion of our waiter .

Another thing that marks us as an American in Italy is ordering a cappuccino after noontime.

One time, upon landing in Milan Airport, GMTspouse went off to find coffee and thoughtfully brought me back a “latte”. I took one sip and busted out laughing. It was warm milk.

I had that experience also^. Luckily, my waiter was just confused when, in my best Starbucks jargon, I ordered. “A latte”. He asked if I wanted a glass of milk. When in Rome, one orders “cafe latte”.
