In Canada, believe it or not, football players are getting NCAA/CIS attention at an increasing rate. Developing an elite hockey player loses out on the cost/benefit side because only so many programs have hockey relative to football.
So in my son’s case, the school is actually slicing hockey to recruit competitive football which in Canada would have been heresy just ten years ago.
