What Is A Home Item You Have That Will Remain Timeless And Last?

I have a similar warming tray. I don’t think I’ve used it since the last time my mom was in charge of brining the prebaked Thanksgiving stuffing. It’s the kind of thing that is mentally noted as, “give away if we have to move someday”.

I gave away my cuisinart (it was practically new but I never used it), my Vitamix, my bread making machine and a couple of other crazy single use appliances… but I honestly use the warming tray all the time.

It suffers from bad branding!

Lot of love in that table!

I have this bowl that someone gave me as a going away gift when I moved away from my first post college job to go to grad school 35 years ago.

It seemed quite expensive and extravagant at the time. Now I do not even know who the manufacturer is.

It has survived a million moves and several drops onto the floor. It must not be breakable.

I have bedroom furniture from my grandmother’s home. Walnut from the 30’s, another black cherry dresser from my great-grandmother about 1890, 2 rocking chairs and a child rocker that my grandfather made in the 1920s, a secretary from Dad’s mother about 1940, a spinet piano from the 30s, wedding gifts for my parents 1955 (serving dishes, pewter candle snuffer).

All my children have expressed interest in keeping them.
