What Is Bugging Me About Reed

<p>Wow… that is some accusation that I “made up” that this is in the student newspaper. I happen to have brought the copy home with us. So if you would bother to go back to The Reed College Quest, Vol. 203 Issue 7, dated October 12, 2012, page 8, you would find an entire page called “CSO Blotter” that lists all the CSO calls for October 1-7, 2012. Here are some sample quotes:</p>

A CSO couldn’t determine the source of the stank he was smelling. Maybe the source was the Birchwoods dumpster. Y’know, via somebody’s bong.

A CSO noted that a room which had in the past smelled like marijuana once again emanated the same smell. The occupant could not be contacted.

A CSO detected the vague, suggestive odor of the cannabis plant, as if Woodbridge was still Olde Woodbridge and not Tir Na Nog

A CSO smelled marijuana in the Basque country between the Spanish and French houses.

</p>

<p>

More marijuana in the area of Prexy.

</p>

<p>I could go on… but I think these are sufficient examples. It does not appear that drug violations were issued, so your statistics on the violations are pretty meaningless (lots of use, little successful enforcement). I really don’t intend to rip on Reed with this, but when you accuse me of lying…</p>
