<p>In general, engineering schools always have higher acceptance rate, when I was a student, the acceptance rate was high 40s for Michigan engineering, it fluctuates between 40% and 70%, the student quality has been the same. Engineering is self-selective, acceptance rate alone means nothing. Engineering applicants tend to be those who truly excelled in math/science.</p>
