What is your first name?

I’m Michelle

My name is Michelle, too…and I love your SN, I am also an ebony queen…

Yasmin. I always thought my name was the one cool thing my parents gave me…lol. My middle name…that’s something else

I’m Acacia

You all have unique and exotic names…I really like the names Acacia and Yasmin. I wonder what they mean? I’m feeling too lazy to go and look it up.

I can tell you what Acacia is if you want. Um…it’s actually a tree (giraffes eat them!). I know stupid. But it has a biblical background. The Arc of the Covenant, and the Crown of thorns were made of Acacia wood. It’s supposedly symbolizes immortality because if you plant a branch from an Acacia tree, a new tree will grow.

I love your name, Acacia! It’s so pretty

Thank you MissMichelle! I always hated it growing up…no one could say it or spell it but now it’s nice!

Michael here!

Aidan is Gaelic, meaning Flame. I always thought that was really cool. And I like the name too. I probably won’t name a kid it though, as Irish/Gaelic names are usually associated with non-Jewish people, and although I’d never give my kid an obviously Jewish name, I’m Jewish, so idk, I feel it’s just weird.

My name’s Alexandra. I’m surprised I’m the first one. There’s like 6 Alexandras in my grade. I like my name but it gets annoying when people for some reason find it hard to pronounce, or they spell it wrong (Alexandria, sometimes Alexander.) Also, when I need my name for a retaurant or something, Alexandra takes a surprising amount of time to say, and is usually misheard over the phone, or even to people right in front of me, when I introduce myself. So I usually go by Alex, as people tend to lapse into calling me Alex anyway. I like it though. It’s long enough to be sorta official and it sounds pretty when people actually call me Alexandra. Also, I have a lot of possible nicknames  My name means “protector of men,” which I always thought was cool.

i just finished watching this vh1 show on odd names celebrities named their kids … here are some of the names i remembered:
pilot inspektor (first name) reisgraf lee
peaches honeyblossom (first name)
fifi trixiebloom (first name)
fifi and peaches were sisters too, they had another sis but i forgot her name … the names sound kinda too ‘sugary’ or sweet to me …
but those are some really strange names, can you imagine the boy’s teacher … “pilot inspektor please anwer #4” … everyone would crack up everytime the teacher called on the kid
there was an old lady i knew at the nursing home… she went by “baby cakes” … it was … weird, we weren’t allowed to laugh
i don’t know if aidan will be outdated or not in 10 yrs though … cuz i’m only 16 i’m not gonna have kids anytime soon

Ami is first and Lei is second, but I like Ami Jean (after my grandmother). It makes for a cool psudonym: AJ.
