What Is Your Idea of the Perfect Vacation Activity Wise??

I agree with katliamom. Variety is the spice of life and any activity, no matter how enjoyable, would probably lose appeal over time. That said, I am not a fan of bugs, so outdoor activities where there too many spiders, ants, mosquitoes and/or flies would not be on my list.

I like cities, national parks and food. I’m not so interested in water as I’m allergic to cold water on my skin (hives). I also am sensitive to very cold or very hot temperatures so try to avoid both extremes.

I like variety—learning a bit about new places, meeting new people, trying new foods, seeing new places and things. Some museum walking and easy to moderate hikes are OK. We haven’t tried biking on vacation, but maybe someday?

I am ok with at least rustic lodgings that have 4 walls, bed, and our own toilet (H is unhappy otherwise); nicer is fine as long as the price seems in line for the area. We are not big drinkers or loud partiers, so don’t need those for a great vacation.

Oh yeah, like some unstructured time and don’t like rushing from spot to door or having to pack up every night or every other night. Also don’t want to have to wake at the crack of dawn, leave luggage outside room and be herded in and out of buses nor doing lots of chores.
