What isthe absolute hardest ap exam

I think people are looking at the wrong aspect of the test. In terms of difficulty, what test can you get the most wrong and still get a 5? In AP Chem i belive you can get like a 70 percent and get a 5, and I think it’s even lower for physics C.

Physics C is harder than B…even though I never took C, just looking at the content of the course, and after having taken a college calc based physics class, C must be harder

How could people get 1’s on the stats exam? Basic common sense will get you a 4, any further intellegence or work gets you a 5.

Physics C, electromagnetism in particular but mechanics is a beast as well.

AP us hist. is easy. Stat is easy.

From my high school only one guy got a 3 in APEuroHis!!! (last year) (and there were some 25 students taking it!!!) I personally think AP Euro is one of the easiest! They just never cared for the AP test. They also did have a bad teacher.

According to my sister AP Art History is very, very hard. She got a 5 anyway, though.

And Physics B is much, much harder than Physics C since it covers more material (thermo + optics + waves + nucular physics + etc. = twice as much work).

I found AP US governement to be the easiest of the ones I have taken since that is my forte, but it depends on teachers too… of course I find foreign languages hard…

LOL! i’m thinking about taking that class next year…but there seems to be a LOT of memorization involved.

It depends on the person. D has taken AP exams already in Calc AB/BC, Stats, Psychology, Physics B, Physics C (mechanics), and AP English Language. English is her least favorite subject; and the only one she got less than a 5 on. She’s expecting the same to happen this year when she compares her English Lit AP grade to all her other math/science geek courses.

Yeah…the book’s about twice the size of a normal textbook.

Wonderful. but your sister got a 5! I’m really interested in art (although I’m not taking any art classes), but I don’t know if taking APAH would be like buying a ticket for my own death. :x

Every AP instructor and long-time employees of SAT and AP prep courses I have ever spoken to has said AP US History, hands down.

In Order of Hardness Of Ones I Have Taken (Hardest First):

Physics C: E&M (The Pain!! It burns!)
Physics C: Mechanics
US Gov’t (Teacher Stunk)
Microeconomics
Calculus
Psychology
US History
European History
Macroeconomics
Comparative Gov’t

Calculus BC is actually a joke. There is a HUGE curve on it. I know people who skipped 3 of the 6 free response questions and still got a 5.

although physics c is definitely hard, the curve on it is also extremely generous

i know one person who only answered one free response question (but answered completely) and got a 5

41.9% of Calc. BC tests taken last year got 5’s.
19.7% got 4’s.

That’s insane…but I love it!

What about AB? ****ty curve???

For calc AB
22% 5’s
20.5% 4’s…

that’s not too bad, but its not CALC BC!! haha, just kidding

Virtually none of the AP exams follow the idea of the curve…the only one ive seen that truly makes a bell curve…Euro History

The reason so many people got 5s on the BC exam is because mostly math geniuses take it, not because it’s easy. A lot of people seem to get confused about that (“hmmm… What AP should I self-study? Calc BC is so easy because so many people get 5s!!”)

In order of increasing difficulty (for the ones I’ve taken)
-psych
-macro, micro
-calc bc, chem, bio, us history
-mech, e&m
-english lit
