<p>I guess I measure wealth in things other than income and assets. Neither my husband nor I, or either of our kids has a huge income or a ginormous bank account or trust fund. But we all really like what we do. We live in a great neighborhood and have great friends. We are able to do the things we want to do when we want to do them. We are not extravagant in our spending but we also aren’t chintzy. My husband lived in midtown manhattan on a shoestring budget before we got married…but even then he felt wealthy in many ways.</p>
<p>We know folks living in NYC who have very high salaries but barely have the spare time to enjoy them. That would not be my idea of being wealthy. I’d rather have less but be happy and be able to enjoy what I have.</p>
