My daughter liked being able to major in engineering, play in the orchestra, sing in the chorus, be on the triathlon team (running and biking to the beach communities and back with teammates and competing all around CA) thematic option (honors humanities program), Visions and Voices (arts program on campus and in nearby venues), significant scholarships, and the preference for Trojans for internships and job placement. She also became a football fan. She made many friends, women in engineering, who studied together and helped each other make it through the challenging curriculum.
