<p>There is nothing that would make me assume a person is a slut.</p>
<p>And it’s not even a term I would probably use even if I knew that someone had a lot of sex with different people.</p>
<p>But when I read your story, it occurred to me that there are things that would make me assume a person isn’t worth your time or mine.</p>
<p>Usually, a “slut” dresses very revealingly and sleeps with just about any stranger for fun.</p>

<p>or maybe, just maybe… <em>gasp</em> he ACTUALLY has a reason to say what he said! Maybe, you ACTUALLY have a history. Maybe he’s PHYSICALLY seen you hooking up with multiple guys at a party, or maybe you’ve been with his best friend and didn’t realize it. A lot of sluts think that they’re low-key, when really, everyone knows their business. It doesn’t make what he said right, but real talk, they’re’s a lot of girls who go through life having never been called a slut even ONCE, and it’s because of the way they carry themselves.</p>
<p>If you’re being called a slut, you might want to rethink the way you carry YOURSELF. What you wear, the WAY that you dress (sure, you may think it’s JUST a tanktop and some sweats, but I swear to God, that can look slutty, depending on HOW you wear it), who you hang with, whether or not you **** every guy who shows you a little attention… all of that can determine whether or not you’re labeled a slut.</p>
<p>And remember, it’s just words. Labels, by definition, are not what YOU label yourself as, but what OTHERS label YOU as. You can only escape labels by not playing into them. But you do what you want.</p>

<p>A girl who dresses very revealingly and sleeps with just about any stranger (‘for fun’ is unlikely), is insecure and perhaps, pathetic. Or possibly, is amazingly self-confident about her appearance, enjoys flaunting it-often at inappropriate times and places-and loves risky sex. In both cases, ‘slut’ is an out-dated, sexist and judgemental term. If the person using it is pitying her, they probably mean she’s type 1. If they are themselves insecure, they mean type 2. In both cases, they are saying more about who they are than who she is.</p>

<p>In all seriousness, **** him. Who cares what he thinks? If you don’t hear this on a regular basis from a lot of different people, it’s obviously just one person’s opinion.</p>

<p>the sorority you belong to is filled with sluts. ergo, slut by association.</p>
<p>Were you wearing fake tan and heavy cakey makeup? Do you have bleach blonde hair? Do you have big boobs? Do you have a particularly flamboyant personality?</p>
<p>All of these things could lead a person to make that assumption. It doesn’t mean it’s true, but you have to look at reasons why they might have said that.</p>

<p>Some people make automatic assumptions about people in sororities (where do you think the term sorostitute came from?) and since you were wearing your letters, this may be what happened. Also, maybe your tank top is a little revealing, or you had on alot of makeup and had your hair all fixed while wearing sweats (sort of a paris hilton-y type thing to do). There’s any number of reasons why he could’ve made this assumption and while I understand being upset about it (who wouldn’t be?) unless you’ve had people call you this before or someone calls you this again, I would just chalk it up to typical jerk off guy behavior.</p>
